OfflineI'm trying to work on a lesson plan for myself. I'm trying to compile a list of basic skills and techniques and was wondering what are your basics that you work on everyday.
For instance the stand up game- stance and footwork, basic punching combination's, shadowboxing and basic kicks and knees.
Takedown and clinch work – stance and penetration, double leg etc and tie ups.
Grappling – bridge and shrimping, etc
I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Sometimes my notification system doesn't work properly and a few posts slip by.
I don't necessarily work on these every day, but as far as bang for the buck I feel that these are the most efficient ways of gaining proficiency at the basics. In no way am I saying that this is all you need or should do, but under time constraints, if you could only do so much, I think these would give you a good start.
Boxing Stance
Kicking Stance
Footwork
Boxing 4 Count
Thai 4 Count
Hand Fighting (Grip Controls) aka Wakazashi Drills
Combined Pummeling (Head, Neck and Chest)
Lift Double Drill
Umpa Escape From Mount
Foot Lift Knee Escape From Mount
Basic Re-Guard From Side Cross
Thread The Needle, Go To Knees From Side Cross to Sitout and go to Quarter or Back
Escape From The Back Fingers Point The Way
Chanellere Escape from 69
Guard Neutralization
Standing Up In Base
