What do you guys make of this? If he's matched up against Couture then he's in trouble but against Kimbo would unfortunately be box office gold for the UFC. They could make him look like a world beater or a clown depending on who he's matched against. Personally I'd like to see him in with Velazques or Lesnar just to teach him alesson for all the badmouthing he's been doing!

I think he'll be matched with another striker. Too big of a name to risk getting dominated by a grappler in his UFC debut.
First "pro" wrestlers switching to MMA. Now big name boxers. So crazy to think of how much the sport has grown in last decade.

Yeah, the way the UFC in particular has exploded has been incredible! I think If they put Toney in against some great grapplers it would send a message to the boxing community that even highly decorated boxers can't cut it in this sport without the right level of training. If Toney comes in and fights Kimbo then the boxing community will relish in the fact that MMA isn't as effective as good old fashioned boxing. They will neglect the fact that Kimbo is really not a very good MMA fighter at all and it could dent the credibility of the UFC.
