OfflineHas anyone read Bruce Lee's book, The Tao of Jeet Kune Do? It's a collection of all of his notes and research and philosophy and study of martial arts and the human body's performance. I'm ten pages in and I'm already amazed. I knew he was smart, and an amazing athelete, but how much research the man did on not just fighting technique and philosophy, but how to make the human body better at what it does.

OfflineHe said this in a movie, but it's my favorite quote by him: "Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or creep, or drip, or crash. Be water, my friend.” It's how I live. I adapt to the situation and overcome. It can really be applied to martial arts. You can't expect one style to win you every fight. You have to adapt to what your opponent in giving you.
Also, "A wise man can get more from a foolish question than a fool can from a wise answer."
