OfflineOk we all know that this fight isn't happening anytime soon. And by that I mean in 2011, but with time St. Pierre can put on the weight and move up to fight at 185 for sure. So assuming the stars align, when the moon is in the Seventh House And Jupiter aligns with Mars and we get the fight all MMA fans are waiting for who wins?
Is the size advantage too much for St. Pierre to overcome? Personally I think St. Pierre is the greatest tactician in the game and on that alone he is able to put together the needed game plan to win. lets hear everyones opinions on this?
i would love to see gsp wins, but sadly he wont, because silva got ground skills, striking skills, jiu-jitsu skills and most importantly timing and fast reactions , gsp wont be able to double takedown silva because of the fast reaction knee, anderson silva will be dominating on stand up because of hes stand up powefull skills and experience he earned and learned over the years and with many different trainers, and on ground gsp is better because of hes wrestling and grappling very high skills,i wud assume this match is a 50%-50%, because since GSP didnt go up in the weight yet, we dont know how wud he look like after that, because if hes any 1% weaker, then he cant lift anderson silva and baiscly all of hes wrestling will be kinda useless, but if hes up in the weight, and with more strength , he will actualy defeat anderson and probbly hold 2 belts at a time, and also this will allow him to challenge new people like…like the middle/light heavy weight people and that kind of league, i wud diffently love to see the aggressive wanderlie silva against gsp or one of these light heavy weight people we hear about.

OfflineTo be honest, and I know i'm in the vast minority here, but this match really doesn't interest me too much. I think Anderson is KO'ing light heavies with ease and he is naturally much bigger than GSP the fight won't be that competitive. I take Silva by quick KO. I would be 10 times more excited to see Silva-Belfort than Silva-GSP. I think GSP will have a tough time in a rematch against the new invigorated BJ Penn if they fought again. I realise how one sided their last encounter was but I truly believe BJ's conditioning improved tenfold and with the motivation of fighting GSP again and to regain the welterweight title the third fight between them would be a totally different affair.

OfflineHas BJ said anything about wanting another shot at GSP? I've not seen anything if he has. In my mind BJ doesn't want anything to do with the current champions at lightweight or welter wight and is just going to take fights the same as randy couture does. interesting fights that will draw a huge crowd or fan base, but no title contention.

OfflineI don't think he's said anything publicly but I read his book and he seems to really dislike GSP. I get the impression he has the same type of motivation he had when Pulver beat him and he had to wait years for a rematch. When he came out in the rematch he was a totally different animal.
Various factors make me want to see this fight.
I believe BJ thought he did enough to beat GSP in their first fight. GSP was bloodied up and his eye was closed over. BJ didn't have a mark on him. I think in the rematch he believed it would go much the same way as the first and that he possibly underestimated GSP.
It was AFTER his second fight with GSP that BJ teamed up with Marv Marenovic to pull out the career best performances against Florian and Sanchez.
Greasing may have legitemitly been a factor.
A motivated BJ is hell to deal with for anyone.
If he beats Fitch he beat the number one contender to the WW title.
In my mind GSP was KO'd by former lightweight Matt Serra. Anderson Has KO'd James Irvin and Forrest Griffin up at 205 with ease. I honestly don't see it as that big of a deal. I think GSP will try to Wrestle him to the ground and hold Anderson there but over five rounds Anderson is likely to catch him.
I know it seems a bit crazy but that's just my thoughts.

OfflineI have been known to be completely wrong on a number of occasions so don't let it sway you too much haha.
They were talking about the subject of Silva and GSP and Rashad Evans and Kenny Florian both said hands down that GSP would win and both made it sound as if it would be an easy fight for GSP. They seem to think GSP is on a whole different level to Silva.

OfflineSize means tons in my mind and I may have been discounting anderson silva's size in that he has fought easily at 205 a couple of times. i do think that GSP is an elite wrestler even with bigger guys (like Rashad) and wrestling is a disadvantage in my mind for Silva. All the more reason I would want to see how this one would play out for real.
