From MMAJunkie.com

"Undefeated female MMA sensation Megumi Fujii (19-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) will
fight on U.S. soil for the first time in three years in a featured
attraction at Bellator 22.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney confirmed the news today with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) after
initially announcing the Japanese fighter's signing Thursday at
Bellator 17 in Boston.

Bellator 22 is slated for June 10 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel &
Casino in Hollywood, Fla., which has played host to several Bellator
events. Fujii will be in one of the night's FOX Sports Net-televised
bouts.

A search for an opponent is currently underway, Rebney said. The bout's
weight limit is currently unknown, though the Japanese fighter's natural
class is 115 pounds.

Following the June 10 debut, Rebney intends to place Fujii in an
eight-slot women's 115-pound tournament that is currently planned for
Bellator's third season, which kicks off Aug. 12.

Fujii most recently appeared on American soil in March 2007 and
submitted Cody Welchin with a first-round armbar. Sixteen of her 19
career victories have come by submission, seven by armbar. In her most
recent performance, she dispatched Tomomi Sunaba with the joint lock
this past November at a Shooto event.

Rebney acknowledges that Fujii's record makes life difficult for his
matchmakers.

"I don't pretend that we're going to find someone for her at 115 that's
going to give her an amazingly difficult fight (on June 10)," Rebney
said. "But the reality is that once we make the announcements relative
to the 115(-pound) tournament and the women we've got signed, I think
that people will see that at least the best names in the game and the
most viable competitors to her at 115 are all going to be there.""

Fuji Is a really amazing fighter. It'll be good to showcase her skills to the U.S fans that are unaware of her.
