Does anyone else think that this simply not a good match up for Maia? My saying so probably just set a victory in stone for him, but honestly I don't think he matches up well with Silva. I'm not saying that he isn't a world class, apex level fighter. I just don't think his tools contrast and counter Anderson's that well.
Am I the only one who thinks this?

OfflineI think Maia's been working a lot on his striking since the Marquardt fight. I do think his confidence has been severely dented though, after his devastating KO and he looked very ordinary against Jim Miller as a result. Against Silva I think he will realise the opportunity that has landed in his lap and will coe out attempting to close the distance as soon as possible but after a few unsuccessful tries and getting tagged in the process he will slow down and Anderson will start to pick him apart clinically. Maia will try to take Anderson down again some more but will get caught with some scary strikes then in a state of panic Maia will start throwing wild hooks and Anderson will KO him with a straight right hand in the third round. You heard it here first!
