I have alway's been intrested in UFC and always felt the want to do it.  Here in Inverness, Scotland their isn't very much opportunity for sport's where I live it is only now that a new gym is opening and teaching MMA and other classes.  I though't to myself that it was a great opportunity to start a great sport.

I also play Ice Hockey as well & thank you all for the warm welcome!

In my personal experience, Hockey Players have always converted into the toughest fighters :)  I don't know why, perhaps the familiarity with anerobic burn, or the physicality or whatever, but man, Hockey Players… And Scottsmen, make tough @$$ fighters.

Hey Liam, I didn't realise you were from Inverness. I'm from Glasgow. If You're ever down in Glasgow give me a shout and you can come and do some training with me and my buddies. You will be totally welcome to Come and train. Well, As long as you're not to tough on us, contrary to what Dr.Sick says not all of us Scotsmen are tough hahaha Laughing

Yes that would be awesome mate.  Hopefully my local gym will open soon.  Sorry I haven’t been on in a while I have been busy with the Christmas shopping!

I'm in the same boat, I've barely seen my computer in the past couple of weeks. Hopefully be able to get back on here more often again.

Yeah seems to be mad.  I wanted to ask is their any shops in Glasgow that sells MMA equipment?  My parent's are down for a trip this week and was going to ask them to pop by one instead of waiting for the post lol.

I will have a look thanks mate, I have already got my gloves (Caged Steel ones) just wanted to get shins and a few pairs of shorts too.  Only reason I wanted to go to a shop is because the post here is backloged due to the snow so I doubt anything would come until after Xmas.

Hey Liam, sorry I didn't see your last post about the MMA shops in Glasgow. I really don't know of any other than the ones located inside the gyms themselves. Let us know how you get on with the MMA sessions!  Smile

No problem I have ordered a few bit's of Made 4 Fighters website but I had a great time last night.  Very hard going because I jumped stright in to it light sparring, grappling etc I have never done boxing or such a like so took a bit to get used to but as with all sports the more you practise the better you become! Can not wait for next week :D
