Thanks for posting all of these cards.  Didn't realize how much action we have coming up.  Woot!

Excited to see how Gomi does in UFC.

Was really dissapointed Silva vs Belfort didn't work out.  That could have been explosive.

Straight up, that's a powder keg of a fight.  I've yet to see two fighters with as much explosiveness and power in their technique go toe to toe.  Both fighters seem to be in their prime and have such contrasting styles.

Aldo- Faber is a fight truly worthy of a PPV main event. Both guys are so exciting to watch and it's another milestone for the little guys in MMA.

the fights I most look forward to are

Aldo-Faber

Bowles-Cruz

Jones-Vera

Dos Santos-Gonzaga

GSP-Hardy

Carwin-Mir

Florian-Gomi

These all look like great fights but we are still geting to see people challenge some of the all time greats as well. On paper Penn-Edgar looks alright but we get to see a legend like BJ fight. I always feel priveleged to see a true great fighting, even if it's not the most competitive match.

I just found out that Melendez and Aoki are billed to fight sometime this year as well.  I don't know how I feel about Aoki after his last display, I've always been a fan of Discipline and Respect but I can't help but appreciate his fighting abilities.  Either way, just another great fight on the docket.

@naturalbornfigher1: I agree with your comments on Penn-Edgar.  Not the most exciting match up, but always a treat to see a living legend
in his prime.

@Dr. Sick, do you know what promotion Aoki will be fighting in?  Did he get signed to Strikeforce?
Very exciting to see Gilbert Melendez get another shot at a top Japanese competitor.  I've been following his career in Shooto/PRIDE
since he gave my cousin Kaynan his first loss in a Rumble On The Rock event.

I believe its a cross promotion event between Strikeforce and DREAM, I'm sure It will be held in the U.S.

I totally agree with you Brian, I loved watching Aoki and his last fight antics really made me see him in a different light.

I went to a Royce Gracie seminar a number of years ago just after he had been beaten by Sakuraba. There was a Q and A after and someone asked if he wanted a rematch with Sakuraba. He answered something like 'I'd like to punch his teeth down his throat' or something to that effect and started calling him a cheat and was very disrespectful. Again it was similar to the Aoki situation I always associate Martial Arts and MMA with respect and discipline too however it seems to be lacking in MMA sometimes. It's funny how someone you really like and respect can make one action that totally changes your perspective of them.

Bowels vs Cruz was disappointing.  I hope Cruz makes good on his open invitation for a rematch.

Was anybody else surprised by the outcome of the Benavidez vs Torres fight?  What a talent pool in that weight class.  For a moment there, I thought Torres was unstoppable.  I really like his style of fighting.

Big time surprised. A few months ago I was telling people he should be in the pound for pound rankings because I was so impressed with him. Still love to watch him fight though. I believe he'll return to form.

I don't think he was out of form… so much.  I think it's just that the weight class is so stacked.  I enjoy the WEC fights more than the UFC fights most of the time.

Yeah, you have a good point there. So many great fighters, I think it will be tough for anyone to reighn supreme for more than a few matches in that division. I Love the WEC, the match ups are so fast and exciting. The only problem I have is it's not on TV here in the UK so I always have to watch crappy streams at 3-6AM or wait til the next morning and try to find sites hosting the fights. I can't wait til its on UK TV!

Just out of curiosity, are you a UK Native? Oh, and are there any UK Forums or Blogs that you frequent?  I've been looking around and there doesn't seem to be that much going on from the UK in terms of MMA Blogs and Forums.  Then again, I'm an outsider and just barley started my digging.

Yeah, I live in Scotland in the UK. There's a few I'll check on but I never usually post on them. The biggest UK forums I know of are on

http://www.uk-mma.co.uk

http://www.cagewarriors.com and

http://www.fightersonly.com

I'm not really sure of many others but If I remember any more I'll post them up for you.
