I know Diaz is a terrible embassador to the sport.  A few forum posts ago I expressed my extreme disappointment.  But man that kid can fight.  I love how disciplined and measured his boxing is.  He has a great kick catch straight to a run the pipe single in this fight that are text book.  Too bad too because I really like Hayato Sakurai.

 

 

 

I don't know much about Takaya but I really like Hansen as well.  This was a very interesting fight and it just goes to show how quickly fortunes can turn.

Jon fitch should have a look at this to see why the closed guard really isn't dead if you know how to use it. Diaz completely neutralized Hayato's offence with a great closed guard then worked beautifully into the armbar. What a great technician. Diaz made Sakurai look very ordinary in that fight. As much of a bad ambassador as he usually is in this fight he was very respectful even helping and bowing to Sakurai at the end. He must be the number 2 welterweight in the world behind GSP. I'd love to see them fight.
