Where is our conditioning discussions?
I personally have started training at a local Crossfit affiliate. It has been great. I keep hearing these horror stories of you tear up your shoulders, hips, knees, back.
My shoulder issues I have had are currently improving. Much to the surprise of some of my personal trainer associates who knock the idea. So I believe I am sticking to its protocol for a while.

I have been going psuedo paleo diet. Now my family is jumping on board and we are all going that way. My wife is into it enough that she bought a paleo cookbook the other day.

Now I am working on getting some dinasour training equipment around so I can train at home with odd heavy implements.

*nice tip. trying to figure out distances to run around your neighborhood? google earth program has a line drawer and measuring tool, it works great to measure out your path pre workout.
I used it to measure off 200m and 400m runs in my alley so far.

Ahhh, just got the "crickets" joke. Great on the Crossfit workouts. I'm an old school crossfitter from when they posted the work out of the day in plain format and blue screen. A good way to begin your dino-style training is with thick bar work. It's cheap and gives you alot of bang for your buck. I used old towels and duct taped my dumbells and barbells. This grip work will assist you in rock and log and barrel lifting.

for thick work I brought home some 2 3/8 oil well tubing pipe and some 2" pipe.
I haven't gotten a olympic set for the house again yet since moving. I have a loadable sandbag, and gymnastic rings, and kettleballs and plyo boxes.
I have been a crossfit lurker since the days when the journal was an attachment in email. But I took official plunge 2 months ago.
