Just saw this as an update on Khuen Khru Bryan Popejoy's facebook account:  http://www.thaiboxing.com/ajar…..etter_2010

It's a letter from Ajarn Surachai "Chai" Sirisute, President and Founder of The Thai Boxing Association of the USA and Worldwide.  Ajarn is ultimately responsible for more or less, everything I've ever learned about Muay Thai.  My Muay Thai Instructorship and Certification are directly under Ajarn and I credit him for the wonderful experience I've had in continuing to learn the devistating Science of 8 limbs.

It was his urgings for me to help continue to spread and promote the art of Muay Thai that were a contributing factor in why we decided to share part of our experience through the internet by bringing you instructors such as Khuen Khru Popejoy, Khuen Khru Jones, Khuen Khru Bernales, Khuen Khru Alexander, Khuen Khru Anderson, Khuen Khru Chan and others.

When he asks a small favor of us (students of the Thai Boxing Association method), I think it's important to support him in his wishes.  Without  Ajarn, none of this would be here.

Ajarn Chai has given so much.  What an amazing legacy.  Great to see Damage Control MMA helping continue the legacy through YouTube and this site.

I have so much respect for TBA.  To become an instructor requires not just technical ability, but incredible spirit.  Not for the faint of heart, the weak of character, or for anyone that is scared of pain.

I had the privilege of witnessing Dr. Sick pass his Khru test under direct supervision of Ajarn Chai years ago.  It was one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen.  I was so moved by Khru Brian's warrior spirit, my eyes got a little teary.  Embarrassed at feeling so emotional, I tried to hide my face, but then I glanced around the gym and there were several bad-ass fighters also choked up and teary eyed.  It was truly inspiring.

I feel very fortunate to have access to all this training here.  I can't begin to imagine everything coaches Brian & Brandon have had to go through to obtain their knowledge.
